Studio Rules

  • Remove shoes prior to entering Studio. Bare feet is recommended for all Yoga classes
  • Be mindful,your practice starts when you walk into the room
  • Arrive a few minutes early. Lateness is disruptive and disrespectful to others, the teacher and your own practice.  If you are taking a Warm Vinyasa class, a few minutes early will help you acclimate to the warmth in the room 
  • If you arrive a few minutes late, take a breath and enter slowly and as quitely as you can.  If you are more than 5 minutes after the start of class, please wait outside the studio door to be admitted by the instructor
  • If this is your first visit to our studio and you haven't signed up on line, please arrive at least 20 minutes before class to complete the sign-in process
  • Please inform us of any pre-existing injuries or individual conditions  
  • Turn off your Cell phone.  Phone use is not allowed in Yoga Studio during practice  
  • Abandon the competitive mindset.  It is not just a workout.  The aim is to calm the mind, open the heart and accelerate personal growth
  • Focus on you own practice; feel your body and listen to your breath at all times
  • There are three stages to each Asana (posture): coming into the pose holding it and coming out of it.  The real work is holding the pose.  Always release your body from an Asana with as much grace and control as you use to come into it
  • If an asana seem painful, it is a sign that you should modify and check your alignment.  Never push or force your body into an asana  
  • Drinking water before and after class is strongly encouraged for proper hydration, we recommend keeping a water bottle next to your mat  
  • To maximise the benefits of your practice, limit food intake to at least 2 hours prior to the start of class
  • To preserve the privacy and serenity of our Studio, the use of cell phones and taking of photographs or videos is not permitted.  Thanks for understanding.
